Exploring the concept of seclusion, Salomé Rodrigues creates an immersive experience that invites introspection and sensory interaction. Inside a glass structure, the artist projects a video in which she explores the freedom of the gaze and the confinement of the body. The space, which is reminiscent of a citrus-scented swamp, intensifies the feeling of confinement and provokes reflection on vulnerability and self-image. This installation proposes an encounter between the grotesque and the beautiful, mediated by collective experience and individual introspection.

Salomé Rodrigues is a multidisciplinary performer, born in Porto in 1996, who works with dance, voice and performance art. After finishing her degree in Perioperative Nursing at university, she formalised her studies in the performing arts in 2020 with the Oficina Zero dance programme and the Cultural Production Course at Companhia Instável in 2023.In Portugal, she performed for the Spanish company Agrupación Señor Serrano in ‘Una Isla’, co-created with the Portuguese visual arts collective yy.gemini.yy in ‘6 Killings 5 Ghosts’, created and performed ‘Café da Manhã no Jardim’ with Marianna Diroma and created and performed pieces for the Belgian collective Rooftoptiger as part of the Airhotel installation at the Waking Life Festival in 2023 and 2024.In Germany she collaborated as a performer with choreographer Salome Kehlenbach on‘Playfight’, with the Chaim Gebber - Open Scene Company on ‘From Head to Toe’ and co-created and performed ‘The Power of the Ordinary’ with DJ Clara Sõma.
